About Us
Hello! We’re Kevin and Jess. We love adventuring and eating (and drinking) our way around new cities and countries. We discovered our love of traveling when we went on our first trip to Belize in 2015. Over the next 7 years we traveled as much as we could both inside the US and internationally. We’ve been scuba diving in Roatan, rock climbing in Arizona, and ate our way through Italy.
We had a blast exploring all these places but would always miss our dogs, Ash and Bella, back home. We went to so many places and saw people with their dogs and thought how much fun our pups would have if they were with us. We wanted to continue traveling and going on adventures, but we wanted to include our furry friends on our travels.
After months of research and planning, we decided to take the plunge and build our very own adventure camper van! Neither of us had any experience building anything other than a few basic pieces of furniture, so we knew it would be an interesting journey. We poured our blood, sweat, and tears (literally) into building our van.
We decided to create Our Vantasy Life to document our camper van conversion progress and show people that with determination and a willingness to learn (and knowing when to ask for help) you can also build your dream van! Follow along on our van build journey and our van adventures. Enjoy :-)
